How We can Help
Therapy that's tailored to you.
No two people arrive in therapy with the same story, and there is no single approach that's right for everyone.
Whether you're navigating the effects of trauma, struggling with anxiety, facing challenges in your relationships, or simply feeling stuck, therapy should reflect your unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
At the Canadian Centre for Hope and Healing, treatment is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy. Together, we'll work to better understand what's happening, identify patterns that may no longer be serving you, and build practical tools that support meaningful, lasting change.
Individual Psychotherapy
Life can become overwhelming for many different reasons. You may be coping with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, burnout, chronic illness, relationship challenges, or significant life transitions. Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone.
Individual therapy provides a confidential, supportive space to explore your experiences, develop new insights, strengthen resilience, and move toward greater emotional wellbeing.
Every treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs, goals, and pace.
Couples Therapy
Healthy relationships aren't defined by never experiencing conflict—they're strengthened by learning how to navigate challenges together.
Whether you're feeling disconnected, caught in repetitive arguments, rebuilding trust, adjusting to life changes, or simply wanting to strengthen your relationship, couples therapy can help you better understand one another and develop healthier patterns of communication.
Our approach is informed by research on healthy relationships, attachment, and evidence-based couples therapy.
Trauma and EMDR Therapy
Traumatic experiences can continue to affect how we think, feel, relate to others, and respond to the world long after the event has passed.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychotherapy approach that helps the brain process experiences that have become "stuck," allowing distressing memories to become less overwhelming over time.
EMDR can be helpful for trauma, PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, grief, negative self-beliefs, and many other concerns.
Not everyone is ready for EMDR immediately, and that's okay. Building safety and emotional regulation always comes first.
Therapeutic Approaches
Rather than relying on a single therapy model, our therapeutic approach is based on each individual and couple’s particular needs. Therapy may involve evidence-based approaches to provide care that's responsive to your needs.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR helps the brain process distressing memories and experiences so they no longer feel as emotionally overwhelming.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Explores the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours while developing practical strategies for lasting change.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Supports psychological flexibility by helping you make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while moving toward the life you value.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Builds skills for emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthier relationships.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)-Informed Therapy
Helps us understand the different "parts" of ourselves with curiosity and compassion, creating greater internal balance and self-understanding.
Attachment & Trauma-Informed Therapy
Recognizes how early relationships and life experiences influence emotional wellbeing, relationships, and the nervous system.
